Role Summary

A Sales BDC Employee is responsible for receiving, processing, and distributing information from incoming leads. This will include but is not limited to leads on new and pre-owned vehicles, and providing general information to online inquiries.

Key Functions

Core

  • – Greet and address all customers and co-workers warmly, and with respect 
  • – Respond quickly to internet, phone and live chat inquiries, using email, phone and text through CRM 
  • – Provide customers with initial product information & direct them to the appropriate dealership resources 
  • – Participate in team & process development sessions to grow appropriate skills  
  • – Facilitate timely follow up on all internet leads as directed by management 
  • – Set Sales Appointments and following up with “No Show” appointments  
  • – Report and/or correct any threats to customer or employee safety, immediately 
  • – Complete additional work duties as required

On-Going Proficiency Training

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in formal training sessions, onthejob coaching, attending workshops, on-line webinars, and reading manufacturer’s bulletins and industry publications to enhance skills and stay current with rapidly changing technology

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment that complies with State, local, and OSHA requirements

Job Readiness Training

Role-specific training will include but not be limited to:

On-The-Job Trainingdelivered under the guidance of the General Sales Manager, Sales Desk Manager, Comptroller, and other leaders in the organization, learn current organizational processes, policies, and expectations for your role. 

Performance Management

Role-specific training will include but not be limited to: The most important objective of the Porter role is to support the dealership sales and service processes to maintain vehicle readiness and ensure a positive customer experience. 

Regular performance evaluations will be performed in order to track progress to achieving outcomes and to provide constructive feedback.   

Ranking report for conversion rates posted regularly. 

KPI’s Include

  • – Meets store standards for lead to appointment conversion rate.
